QI Analyst

Department: Quality Improvement
Location: Washington , DC

Position Summary

The Quality Improvement Analyst (QIA) will work directly with the Quality Improvement team assisting in the development, coordination and integration of the daily quality of care management activities as well as audit preparation. The Quality Improvement Analyst will be responsible for assisting with ensuring programs and services are implemented at the highest standards. The QIA will review quality data, assess the data based upon internal and external benchmarks, and identify and target areas needing improvements. The QIA will monitor the quality of notes and other areas to ensure that the level of documentation meet the medical necessity and comply with external auditor's compliance and quality levels.

Responsibilities/Qualifications

  • Assists in the planning, coordinating, and implementing of the quality management and quality improvement programs for Hillcrest.
  • Assist with providing consultation and direction to ensure programs and services are implemented at the highest standards and consumers receive the highest level of care.
  • Responsible to understand and comprehend program QI goals and provides support in enacting a program plan that is consistent with these goals.
  • Responsible for working with Clinical staff to achieve QI program goals and deliverables.
  • Assist with quality initiatives throughout the year surrounding audits.
  • Assist with the coordination and collection, analyst and write up of evaluation of the project deliverables.
  • Review the clinical documentation of assigned teams and assures that the teams meet the external auditors and payer's benchmarks at a level above industry standards.
  • Complete data analysis and provides written findings with recommendations and areas of improvements when applicable.
  • Help support the measurement of outcomes.
  • Provides support with monitoring and providing assistance with quality assurance and compliance functions.
  • Assists and ensures policies and procedures are monitored and updated to include regulatory changes.
  • Assist with providing support to utilization management, peer review and measurement of client outcomes for various Hillcrest programs.
  • May be responsible to provide technical assistance to meet reporting requirements within defined time frames.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or other Human Services related field required. LGSW, LPC, or LICSW in District of Columbia preferred.
  • Minimum of three years related clinical experience.
  • Experience with QI principles and approaches.
  • Knowledge of data collection, analysis and data presentation.
  • Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
  • Must have strong documentation skills.
  • Demonstrate proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability.
  • Must have exceptional organizational skills ability to re-prioritize daily task in order to accommodate fluctuating needs of the program.
  • Highly resourceful team-player, with the ability to also be extremely effective independently.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptive to various competing demands, and demonstrates the highest level of customer/client service and response.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with consumers, families, staff, community and general public.
  • Practice and promote Hillcrest's policies and procedures, mission statement and principles.
  • Must have compassion for and desire to work with consumers.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work responsibly as a team member as well as an individual.

Pay Rate: $60,000 - $65,000
